Project UltraProject Ultra (or Covert-9)
is the codename given to a program of experiments with the attempts to create Force sensitive soldiers under the direct command of the Supreme Chancellor, Sheev Palpatine. To increase the chance of significant Midi-chlorian activity several race strands were put in use, to manipulate and mold the desired qualities, genes and attributes of these soldiers. Project Ultra was initiated in 51 BBY within the extragalactic system, on the planet; Kamino and never left orbit before 22BBY; to provide reinforcements for the first 200,000 battle ready clone troopers on Geonosis, deployed among commando ranks.Project Ultra were discontinued after the results had primarily been labeled as a failure due to the Covert-9 lacked the desired Force abilities their original purpose relied them to possess. In light of this failure, no further pursuit of Force sensitivity were continued in this manner. The Nine were however put through rigorously intense training from the earliest thought capable part of their youth, in order to discover their capability to determine their roles within the GAR, and indoctrinated into a strict philosophy to solidify their service to the Supreme Chancellor.Though lacking Force sensitivity, the Nine proved to be a whole new exclusive kind of soldier. Faithful to the Republic and would undergo critical and covert missions. Later on the ability to manage rank and role was another defining trait amongst the Covert-9, and many took up additional ranks in order to blend in with the clones, such as key members like sergeants or low ranking commanders, taking command and reforming soldiers into their code of conduct, improving them and often dehumanizing them in favor of a much more strict and disciplined force.The files and reports regarding Project Ultra are all in the possession of the Supreme Chancellor whom still utilizes his failed experiments. The ' failure ' of Covert-9 however gave birth to a new invention specifically meant to learn, adapt, and overcome the Jedi; the Clone Assassins. These unique clones have often been involved with the covert-9.Origin of Project Ultra:Project Ultra was a special side project prior to the original order of a grand army of the Republic. Many of the Covert-9 grew to learn from other instructors or clones during the Clone Wars, some of which are stricken from the records, or terminated completely for their witnessing.Aims and Leadership:The Project were led by a number of heads whom each had a department of this development, but Covert-9 were ultimately begun by Darth Sidious. The project attempted to create an exclusive type of soldier under the direct and faithful directive of the Supreme Chancellor. Force sensitive soldiers to serve covert as well as critical intention but not prohibited from partaking, or joining in the conflict between the Republic and Confederacy of Independent Systems.These nine projects carried unique features whether it were within their DNA, physical appearance, traits or their overall capability for their appointed tasks. Given the nature of Project Ultra some of these experiments possessed complex biological DNA combinations compiled by a variety of races. These soldiers received zealously regimented training schedules to improve their general prowess to prepare them for the conflict within which they would be plunged, and actively participate in.Whilst not necessarily operating out in the field, led by Jedi or clone authority, these assets garbed in clandestine purpose embarks on missions with secretive nature.
